Governor Brian Schweitzer endorses Reilly Neill

(Livingston, Mont.) — Former two-term Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer (2005-2013), released a statement endorsing U.S. Senate candidate Reilly Neill as the Democrat candidate to take on current GOP senator, Steve Daines.

“Reilly is on the ground listening to Montanans, working with Montanans, and fighting for Montanans,” Gov. Schweitzer said in the statement. “She has my full support.”

Neill responded: “I am honored to earn Schweitzer’s endorsement. Governor Schweitzer’s support reflects a shared commitment to putting Montanans first and listening to voices from every corner of the state.”

Gov. Schweitzer is a farmer-rancher who successfully ran for Governor in 2004 and was reelected in 2008, serving until 2013.

“As Governor Schweitzer showed us, listening builds trust,” Neill said. “Listening is how we deliver results. Listening is how we lead.”
